There are two ways to share your data though NewBanking:
- Via an access (structured sharing to companies)
- If you have been requested to share your data from a company, then it is probably through a structured access.
- Data share (private and free sharing via unique link to email)
-
The data share is an extra option you can use, when you are already a user on NewBankings platform.
-
If you are in doubt, then you are probably looking for how to share data through an access.
Sharing data through an access
If you are sharing to a company, you will need to start the sharing process through the NewBanking Widget. The widget can either be place on the receiving company's website or on NewBanking's website.
You will have received an email from the company, requesting to share your personal information. The email has a link at the bottom of the message. You have to start the process from this email.
After you start the process, you will need to create a NewBanking account (or log in if you already have one). After logging in, you will then have to follow the instructions which vary from company to company and are based on their data requirements.
If you cannot find the email to start from, we recommend to contact the company and ask them to resend it to you. The flow cannot be started if you do not have the unique link.
Sharing data through a data share
Sharing data can also be done through your NewBanking account. You can start a data share here: https://www.newbanking.com/me/#/shares/all
A data share can be shared with anyone in the world through a unique link or email. We recommend the link and access code through two different mediums (e.g. email and SMS) for increased security.
